The International Bureau for Children's Rights is an extraordinary organization. Their mission is "strengthening justice and child protection systems and transforming the place of children in our societies, to ensure the realization of children’s rights, especially for those who face the greatest obstacles to having them respected." In the DR Congo, the IBCR is supporting the Congolese government's effort to strengthen child protection. You can learn more about the IBCR's current project in the DRC here.
Starting in 2024, Kimbilio became a formal partner of the IBCR in its efforts. You can roead about the work that Kimbilio and the Kimbilio children are doing in two earlier blog posts:

On January 25, the Kimbilio children on the IBCR Consultative Committee participated in a lively workshop. After introductions, the inspector gave a presentation and there was a Q&A session. The children were given the opportunity to evaluate the work done to date.
They discussed the role of labor inspectors and the issue of child labor in various companies. They talked about whether and how labor inspectors evaluated whether children's rights were respected and if certain employers abused children.
Input of vulnerable children is paramount to the success of the overall IBCR project, and Kimbilio is honored to be an important contributor.
