The results are in, and we are delighted to share the news that all 51 students who just completed their senior (6th) year at the Kimbilio Mapendo Primary School were successful on their national exams! 26 boys and 25 girls will thus begin at the Kimbilio Mapendo Secondary School in September.

ENAFEP is the Examen National de Fin d'Etudes Primaires. This is the standardized, state administered and compulsory national exam that determines whether students can start lower secondary school.

There is also testing at the end of the 8th year of school, and results were also perfect! TENASOSP is the Test National de Sélection et d’Orientation Scolaire et Professionnelle. It is administered after students complete their first two years in the lower secondary school levels. These two years are known as the "cycle d'orientation." TENASOSP is really a milestone exam into higher level secondary school that helps place students into the best suited secondary track in humanities.

Kimbilio celebrated the end of the school year and the advancement of the school's students. The graduation ceremony itself was filled with joy and emotion as students learned their test results and took pride in their accomplishments. Two students gave recitations...in English! Every student got to enjoy cookies, beignets, juice, and chips, making the celebration yet sweeter. Kimbilio created great memories for the children as they laughed, took photos, and said their good-byes for summer break.

Congo Children Trust send our heartfelt congratulations to the students, their families, their teachers, and the entire Kimbilio team on a great school year. And we are excited to share...next year, the Kimbilio Mapendo School will have its first secondary school graduates.❣️

We love these photos from the big day.
