Kimbilio Director Carine Bahati and Head of Finance Pastor Clement Beya participated in 2 days of training in financial and logistics management this week. The training was offered by the International Bureau for Children's Rights (IBCR), a Canadian nonprofit that is engaged in a five year project in Congo to improve the child protection system. Kimbilio is a key partner for this, with great alignment between our two organization's missions.
The IBCR project is outstanding! It aims to contribute to the establishment of a child protection system with a more child-friendly governance, through the integration of sectors usually less considered and a better interconnection between these sectors and the more traditional actors. This training is not a "one off;" rather, it is part of an integrated program. You can learn more about it on the IBCR's website. If it sounds familiar to you, it may be from your having previously read about several Kimbilio children having actively participated in it! We can't emphasize enough how critical the need for the IBCR program is in Congo.
